Member contributions towards pension and Death in Service benefits are deducted before PAYE is calculated. All pension contributions paid are allocated in full to members’ pension accounts.

CWPS also facilitates the collection of voluntary weekly industry deductions for the Construction Workers’ Health Trust and the Benevolent Funds. These can be included with Pension, Death in Service and Sick Pay contribution payments.

The flyer also provides details of the current Sick Pay and Death in Service benefits. Sick Pay includes a payment of €125 per day for the first five eligible days in a calendar year, followed by €50 per day thereafter, subject to the Scheme rules. Death in Service benefit is €100,000 plus the value of the member’s pension account, with an additional €5,000 payable for each eligible child.

Employers can pay monthly pension schedules online or submit payroll uploads through the secure CWPS online payment system.
